Og Mandino is a fantastic storyteller, even though his tales stretch the imagination. This is the long-awaited sequel to his 1967 bestselling parable about Hafid, a camel boy who happened upon the infant Jesus. In the first book, impressed by the generous gesture of Hafid giving his cloak to the baby, Hafid's master gave him scrolls containing 10 simple principles for achieving personal and professional success. Hafid discovered the joy & benefits of applying the now-famous 10 Principles of success. Part two begins as the aging Hafid , called the greatest salesman in the world, is found grieving after the death of his wife. Perhaps it is Mandino's charisma , more than his clarity of writing that drives us to want more, but whatever the reason, his books are always in high demand, & perhaps one comes away feeling a bit happier for having read them.

My father gave me The Greatest Salesman in the World Part I to read when I was a young girl. When I found out that there was a Part II, I knew that I had to read this book. Reading Part II has deepened a more positive way of looking at the world in me. It has made me reflect about the life of the elders in my family-their expectations, hopes and dreams of their children. I would recommend this book(Part II and also Part I) as part of literature classes in the high schools. The most important reason why I love this book so much is because it is centered on events that pertain to Jesus Christ.My father gave me The Greatest Salesman in the World Part I to read when I was a young girl.
