    The story in this novel is heartbreakingly beautiful. Gabriel García Marquez is a master of storytelling. After two young lovers are torn apart by a well meaning father who is trying to protect his daughter, her love-sick suitor languishes over her for half a century. You will read how pain & loss can change a person and the events in their life. The girl ends up married to someone else and he goes on to have numerous love affairs in an attempt to fill the empty void she has left in his heart. When he hears that her husband has died, he returns to proclaim his love for her again. I won't give the end away. The story tell us that love is timeless and neverending in our hearts and mind, because we want to keep it that way, precious and innocent. It's hard to imagine that reuniting with ...

    The "product" is insufficiently well-made, although the book was apparently well-written....although I'd like to try it in the original Spanish. I loved the love; hated the cholera. Product life is indeterminate. It's a paperback and I live in hot and humid Florida (albeit amidst air-condtioning).
