    Unique and Very Reccomended

    Book is a 3-ring binder type collection, so pages lay flat and I can add pages into it, which I like. This book has lots of recipes not found in any other of the canning books I have (Ball Blue Book, Bernardin Complete Book of Home Preserving, So Easy to Preserve, the Amish Canning book, USDA Canning, etc necessary standards). The recipes sound wonderful and sophisticated, have ear-marked a number to try out. Photos are beautiful and there are lots of helpful tips (eg, varieties of tomatoes and cucumbers best for different types of cooking/preserving applications) not seen in my other canning books, which is great to learn for a non-farmer/gardener. Book has lots of unique helpful info. The layout of each recipe is easier to follow, as it identifies different preservation technique, ...

    Great recipes but not not what I was looking for.

    The pages are very thin and they tear easily when you turn them in the 3 ring binder. I was looking for more traditional recipes. The recipes are very different and not what I was expecting. I wanted to make pickled beets, the ones in the book are thyme beets. A lot of interesting recipes but I have not tried any yet. Very nice pictures are included.
