    Excellent, engaging, keeps imagination while learning.

    The only thing I dislike is that my local libraries in NYC have few copies that I can share with the rest of my NYC home schooling community. This is an excellent series of history that is not only entertaining, engaging, but historically accurate. Children (and parents) enjoy learning as they imagine the historically accurate descriptions of styles of dress, environments, people of interest and timely relevant language of the period. This is not your ordinary, boring, dry intellectual history, but for the layperson at any age to enjoy, laugh, live and learn the periods of history as they unfold.

    History - Story of the world

    My daughter can't put these books down. We also have the workbook to go along with these. Since purchasing the first and second volume my daughter has had a new found interest in history and quotes things to us often. These books make learning fun, I have to admit I can't put them down either. The stories are short, to the point and informative, the way we like it. Also the way they're written seems very upbeat that before you know it you've completed a chapter.

    story of the world 2 test

    Great tests, big time saver, so glad to have these. My son is 7th grade so I just tell him to read a couple of chapters of the book, and then hand him the tests. He said they are "precise and to the point". They are great for anchoring the take home facts from each chapter.
