Good network radio
Use this for dvswitch all-star, zello and peanut currently. Good cellular reception. Sma antenna jack is a nice feature as you can jack in an external antenna for even better reception. I use a homebrew moxon on 850 MHz for 4glte improvement as well as a homebrew 850mhz collinear. Excellent TX audio and loud on receive. The bad: ptt button is very stiff and takes effort to push. No home screen button/problem when running multiple apps simultaneously. Solved with a button mapper app. No option to use the mechanical keypad for typing letters instead of numbers. No toggle option which is a huge problem while inputting text as the on screen keyboard is way too small to use accurately with my average size fingers.Use this for dvswitch all-star, zello and peanut currently. Solid with some qwerks
As a device to use Zello all day everyday at my home it is outstanding. When using it tethered out on the go it can be a little difficult to see and manipulate settings on the small screen. I recommend doing initial setup using something like Vysor to make it easier. Once it's set up you can change channels and select contacts pretty easy. The audio quality is OUTSTANDING! I've used this to talk to people all across the country and the audio has been better than any LMR type radio system I've ever used. The case is rugged and heavy duty enough for everyday use. If I could change one thing about this device it would simply be a slightly larger screen. The S200 is basically the same device without the keypad and a larger screen.
