  • The Whole Picture

This is what I would consider the companion book to "The Great Warming" by the same author. Although this book was published in 2000 and TGW was published in 2008, they fill in the facts of climate cycles for those who are interested in the whole historic picture of this phenomenon. This information will help the reader to make a more informed decision about today's news about global warming. Mr. is one of those historians who really make history interesting.

  • Interesting book; gives facts about the Little Ice Age, and more!

I bought this book to learn more about what actually happened during the Little Ice Age. I haven't gotten to read very much of the book, yet, but in what amount I've read it, it's pretty interesting! It gives a little information on the time period just before the LIA started (Viking conquest, etc...), then starts telling about the Ice Age from top to bottom. If you enjoy facts mixed with anecdotes, as I do, then this is good reading for you to try! With that said, give a copy a read. You just might enjoy it! ;-)

  • An excellent history of world climate change.

Mr. Fagan does an excellent job of gathering data and explaining the results as they pertain to "The Little Ice Age" and the times prior and post. This is a tremendous historical and technical reference and is certainly classroom material. This volume goes a long way conveying how much impact the planet has on the cycles of cold and warming. This is an excellent read no matter which side of the global warming debate you stand.

  • Just like brand new.

The book was advertised as having highlites and underlines. I thought it would be a little beat up. It arrived in brand new condition.

  • Climate change and how it happens

This book suggests that we need to accomodate happening climate change as opposed to politicians that want to stop it
