About this product

Product Information

The Daring Book for Girls is the manual for everything that girls need to know--and that doesn't mean sewing buttonholes! Whether it's female heroes in history, secret note-passing skills, science projects, friendship bracelets, double dutch, cats cradle, the perfect cartwheel or the eternal mystery of what boys are thinking, this book has it all. But it's not just a guide to giggling at sleepovers--although that's included, of course! Whether readers consider themselves tomboys, girly-girls, or a little bit of both, this book is every girl's invitation to adventure.

    A Little Bit of Everything

This hardcover book is one of those books that your girls will turn to for all kinds of information. From how to make a club house, how to play sports (and the rules), how to handle social situations, and how to safely use hand tools. It is similar to a Scout handbook, but so much more. This book will be kept in a prominent place on my bookshelf.

I loved the different things that the author was trying to get across to girls . The interesting things that you can do with your spare time and learning about using common sense. My granddaughter is 13yrs old now and I feel she is ready for this book now. All girls should take a look at this book because it offers step by step on how to learn sports and how to change a tire. I feel girls now do not know these things and back during my teenage years I learned how important this can be for the future.

  • "The Daring Book for Girls" is a book for ALL girls!

I heard about the book "The Dangerous Book for Boys" and read and heard all the great reviews it got, so I was ready for this one when it came out. I didn't hear anything about it when it came out, though, but saw it one day in the library. So, I checked both books out to see if they were something my grandchildren would like, and made my decision then to purchase. I like that this book covers a variety of topics to interest young girls through older grandmas (to reminisce about, maybe?) and acknowledges their dreams and aspirations. I especially liked the section on real-life princesses, because I think most of us girls have imagined being one once or twice in our lives! The language is clear, presented in a friendly way, there are lots of illustrations and pictures. The book is a ...

  • Great for females of all ages! (but not babies of course...)

This is a great book for girls and women too! It is similar to its male counterpart "The Dangerous Book for Boys" I have both books and I noticed that some of the projects are the same BUT they differ in that the way they do the project is different. For example: both books have a section on making your own battery and flashlight, but the way that both books tackle it is different. There are many activities which are typical "girls only" type things like learning how to "tie" your hair with just a pencil and things like that or hand clap games but I think there are some useful things boys (and men) can benefit from learning in this book as well (as long as they don't mind the sparkly cover) This book along with The Daring Book for Boys are a must! I think the purchase is not complete ...

  • Interesting and Adventurous

If you, or your daughter would love to learn how to make all kinds of things then this book is for you! Learn the ancient technique of folding tshirts, how to make a peach pit ring, basic karate moves, yoga positions, etc. Some people say this book is complicated because the pictures aren't real detailed, and neither are the instructions. But I beg to differ!!! Being patient is key with this book, but you must be patient to learn the different things anyway (with or without the book). All in all it's a fun book to read, and try new things with. Fantastic present for any girl, or woman.
