I normally wear a 59cm panama but this has a lower crown so it turned out I needed a 58cm. This cost me an extra £14 to change, including return postage and a repacking fee. No fault of the seller and the service from the seller was lightning quick on both occasions. Even though I measured very carefully 58cm was still a bit big, but small amounts of oversize can be dealt with by steaming, as panamas shrink over time or with exposure to moisture. You can feel the quality of this excelant hat.
