  • Fabulous story! One I will read again and again.

This story grabs your attention and never lets go. It is so interesting to read the words as told to the author as a young girl by her great-grandmother. She was born during a total eclipse of the sun. She was also one who had dreams, as was my Ojibwe dad. I can relate to those dreams. Because of those dreams, Oona was able to tell her people what was coming and where they were going. How to survive. Now, generations later, the people are returning to many of the old ways on the red road. Miigwitch! (Thank you)

  • Wonderful book

I learned so much reading this book. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about the Anishinabe. I couldn't put the book down.
