    JD 820 Tachometer

    This tachometer is great on my JD820 (Weiss 3cyl diesel). Minor adjustments had to be done to mount such as spreading the back bracket as mine had a larger hole in the dash. Could not use old bracket as original tach screws had rusted up and I had to deform the bracket to get it out of the console. Otherwise new tack is on track and performing smoothly. Even with the smaller design it is still easily visible while operating the tractor. Thank you for affordable replacement parts.

    The title of this product says this fits a 2640

    But the product description DOESN'T list a 2640.. my bad... I guess? There is a model break in the 2640 series. I made mine work grinding down the adapter ring. Hopefully the Chinese tach works for a while.

    Great bang for your buck

    Fit my jd1830 perfectly, works ok but rpm isn't entirely accurate but it gives you an idea where your rpm are at. Little dimmer than stock but for the price this is an excellent buy.

    Had some issues....

    We ordered for a 1520 John deere tractor. The bracket included wasn't the right size so we had to make a bracket that fit. If making the correct size bracket isn't something you can do, i wouldn't recommend it for a 1520 John Deere tractor!
