The material is very soft. The color is nice dark navy. The leggings stay up because my legs are muscular and it's a snug fit. For me, it is not a loose fit as shown in the photo. I have muscular legs, just above my right knee measures 16.75 inches & my right calf measures 13.5 inches. Note that I wear them over my yoga leggings in the winter. They are thinner than expected but I will keep them because they are soft & warm, the color is nice and they stay up.

I’m sorry to be leaving this message this late but I’m disappointed because I didn’t get the black ones that are in the picture. I received black leg warmers with ruffles on the top and probably will never wear them I was to busy with work and the holidays to return them or leave a message. I wanted them to look like previously ordered brown leg warmers that I love.
