Two lead characters working well
Russo and Bronson really seem to enjoy each other in this well crafted pix. It’s not a “who done it” but a “howdidtheydoit”. For those curious both lead characters provide plenty of “exposure.”

Kind of movie you'll watch more than twice.
After shedding his 007 skin Brosnan steps easily into the role of super cool jillionaire Thomans Crown. Crown bored with the every day doldrums of hostile takeovers and leveraged buyouts spends his free time planning and carrying out impossible thefts of world masters paintings hanging in the worlds most famous galleries. After stealing the world's most expensive impressionist painting insurance investigator Rene Russo is on the job to track down the culprit. It takes little time for Russo to track down the culprit and even less time for her to fall in love with him. The chemistry is immediate and steamy as are many of the scenes between Brosnan and Russo. Great cast including Dennis Leary as the NYC PD detective who does not compete for Russo's character's affections, and ... And you get to see Rene Russo topless on a Caribbean beach. Nuff Said. Enjoy.

A great action, adventure and mystery film!
Sharp and well written, also well acted. If you liked either "Entrapment" or "The Tourist" you'll like this film. Brosnan does a great job of walking the thin line between billionare and thief. This film will give you your entertainment dollar's worth. One last thought, I liked this film when it originally came out in 1999 and it hasn't gotten old one bit. Easily still competes between movies of this decade in action and adventure. So that's saying a lot.Sharp and well written, also well acted.
