Simple easy to install
Just what I needed. Easy to install, but don't make the mistake I made of driving the mower from the barn to a shady work area! Close proximity to the muffler burnt a couple of knuckles! :)

Fits well and as described. Good quaility.
The metal is the correct thickness for the 200 lb tow rating on these mowers. The quality of the finish on the hitch is good but the shade of red is not close to Ferris red. It is a bright red as shown in the photos so I didn't expect it to match. Just pointing the difference out for those who would care. I would prefer a black color vs. red to avoid the paint difference since it fits multiple brand mowers and likely matches none very closely. I feel the hitch is better quality than the factory Ferris hitch plus this hitch has the center filler to avoid crushing the bumper bars and from sliding downward under a load. The Ferris oem hitch doesn't have this feature. I mounted mine upside down so that it would be close to level with my trailer hitch. It doesn't come with any instructions ... It does stick out 6" from the rear of the mower and I'm looking forward to whacking my shin on it when I'm not paying attention.
