  • Worth it but not quite right

First off, this was a great show captured here, with most of their pre-Eliminator era material. Packaging is good, and great sound quality. No skips picked up, at least on mine. Now for the bad, this was clearly mastered and cut by two different engineers who either never met, or hated each other. Record one is pressed and mastered at 45rpm, while record 2 is pressed and mastered for 33rpm, yet nothing is labeled on either. It's still a good value, if priced right. Being this is the entire mastering, not a flaw, you can bet the entire pressing run is like this. So, if y'all want one, just wait a bit and price will drop.

  • ZZ Top studio albums are great but not Live

Poor production. Drums take over above all guitars and this ends up sounding like a 45 minute drum solo. Gimmick 45 rpm just to add 2nd disc. Vocals are plain. Must have recorded on an off night. I saw them in concert and the sound and performance was fantastic. This album is so disappointing. Not likely to listen a 2nd time.

  • Great album, a muxt-have for any ZZTop music afficionado.

ZZTop in Germany.LP is an awesome, historical tour record which made ZZTop a household name in Germany and Europe and propelled them the world superstardom as one of the best-known American Southern Blues/Rock bands world ever seen. .Not too bad for a small band of three talented musicians, previously known only to in their local area of Houston, Texas!
