When best friends and aspiring pet groomers Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey, in a star-making role) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) get fired, Lloyd convinces Harry to travel to Colorado to search for his dream woman--Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly). Little does Lloyd know that Mary's in Aspen trying to locate her kidnapped husband. Soon the dimwitted pair have gotten mixed up in the crime, and their wacky exploits are leading the FBI straight to the crooks. The Farrelly Brothers are at the peak of their twisted craft with this gut-busting comedy. But between such gross-out gags as Hary's Exlax overdose and Lloyd's deliriously over-the-top dream sequence, it's really the chemistry between Carrey and Daniels--and the charming naiveté of these two dunces--that lend the film a disarming sweetness.

CRUDE HUMOR - FUNNY & MEMORABLE!
The first time I saw this movie, I was thinking it was quite DUMB as I was watching it, but I must say, the more I watched, the more it grew on me and by the time it was over, I found I had enjoyed it after all! It is really quite funny in its own way although I didn't particularly care for a few scenes where animals are victims of violence. Such as Petey (Harry's parakeet) who is murdered by an intruder to make a statement (Harry returns to find "Petey's head fell off!") The endangered owl at the charity banquet is also killed (although accidentally this time). These scenes are not violent (you never actually see the parakeet killed for example), but they just weren't funny to me. I still like the movie and have watched it several times. It is a very different type of comedy compared to ... Funny story plot: main character Lloyd falls in love with a lady he barely met (he was her taxi driver) & spends the whole movie driving across country (to Aspen, Colorado) trying to return a briefcase full of ransom money he saw her leave at the airport! Certainly not one of the BEST movies out there, but I enjoyed it and would watch it again.

Funny... but so chidlish
Dumb and Dumber I wasn't a huge fan of this movie but I thought it was pretty funny even if is a little too childish for most people. Whether you're a fan of Jim Carrey or not you'll hardly be able to contain yourself while watching this film. Jeff Daniels is pretty good in this movie as well and the rest of the supporting cast is good too. I'm just not sure I can like a movie that is this stupid. Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: Huge Carrey fan = Must buy, if you're just looking for a few laughs a rental will be ok. IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. Dumb and Dumber
I really like Jim Carry and Jeff Daniels performance in this movie.The movie not only has comedy but also presents morality. I have seen the movie before and decided to make a part of my personal collection. My Husband and I both enjoy the movie and would recommend it highly. Both actors portray two individuals trying to make their way and though they meet obstacles they overcome them and are successful in attaining their goal.I really like Jim Carry and Jeff Daniels performance in this movie.The movie not only has comedy but also presents morality. I have seen the movie before and decided to make a part of my personal collection. My Husband and I both enjoy the movie and would recommend it highly. Don't waste your time or money. Dumb and Dumber is certianly just that.It is so silly and dumb you wonder what in the world am I doing setting here watching something so dumb. It will go in the next yard sale for some poor dumb soul.
