IEEE History Center Newsletter, "Readers interested in technological history, as well as those interested in thebusiness of innovation, will find Dalzell's book a rich mine." IEEE History CenterNewsletter, "Dalzell's biography of one of America's great innovators, a leader of the electrical revolution, is fascinating and gripping. Frank J. Sprague changed urban rail transportation from horse drawn to electrical in 1884-1890 by means of invention, manufacturing, demonstration, and corporate financing. Further, he made possible electrical elevators in skyscrapers and in due course helped perfect the urban transportation systems serving today's metropolises. His name belongs with those of Edison, Bell, Westinghouse, Thompson, and Tesla." -Leo L. Beranek, author of Riding the Waves: A Life in Sound, Science, and Industry

Just as described. Very happy to find the special edition of this book at a great price. It came mostly sealed, except where it got marked. There’s a small red dot on the bottom; not noticeable when I open the book. All the extras are there. Very happy with my purchase. Great seller!

I’ve purchased from the seller many times because they usually have fair pricing. Unfortunately they use poor packaging materials and books often get damaged and shipping. Three separate times, I have had hardcover books arrived damaged. Seller has been accommodating when this happens and has sent replacement, but this time, even the replacement book arrived with significant damage. Avoiding the seller, just not worth the hassle.
