I love the item! It was just as described. Took a while to get all components synced together but works great! I was somewhat disappointed in it taking 5 days before it shipped instead of the 1 - 2 days as advertised. Seller did respond to my question as to when it would ship but just responded with an arrival date instead when it would ship and no explanation as to why it didn't ship in the 1 - 2 days. I would still buy from this seller again because of the great product and good price.

    1/350 Scale Academy U. S. S. Oliver Hazard Perry

    A lot of small parts and there are easy too loose with tweezer grip. Detail is very accurate , makes a nice display of the Destroyer that I built at Bath Iron Works. I like the fact you can make the original Perry or the PSA Perry. Which lengthens the aft deck to support two helicopters instead of one on the original. Recommend Gold Metal Products for accurate detailing of this ship.

    Advanced level modelling

    This is a challenging kit to model. You need to have the right tool to clip off delicate parts from the plastic frames. Parts are extremely small and easy to break when clipping off. Though assembly is pretty accurate and fits well, the railings are the most challenging and painstaking to assemble.

    Can’t go wrong at this price.

    Very solid all around model kit at a great price. I like it actually comes with railings in the kit. Is every piece 100% correct and to scale? I could say, but not being a “rivet counter” I hardly care. A good, quality, good looking 1/350 scale model.

    Kit summary and aftermarket recommendations.

    It has a lot of details for a simple kit and is a great starter for your 1/350 model collection. I would recommend though getting a wood deck and a white ensign details kit for this so. white ensign was the only one i found that replaced the stern eagle with a lifelike realistic swastika bearing version. Basically put: Great kit.
