Easy to use - wish baby's fingers were illustrated...

The book is very simply written - so its an easy read - perfect for parents who are always short for time. the illustrations are simple enough to follow, just wish they exagerated the baby's fingers a little bit more so its easier to differentiate the subtle differences in sign. I started teaching my baby at 6 mos - and of course his first learned sign is milk. Soon as I get home he starts crying and starts signing that he wants milk - its the cutest thing! I definitel think its worth learning sign language - because it gives babies an alternative to communicate, and not solely depend on crying to try to get a point across. My older child was very quick in picking up sign so during his first year, there was a lot less frustrations and tantrums as he is able to tell us what is ... better! At one year my great grand daughter can communicate with signs that I understand!! I never had this years ago with my daughters!!

A language every child should know!
I could remember some sign language from when I grew up, but this gave me a more rounded vocabulary. It is a wonderful thing when you can communicate with your 9 month old! Everything becomes so much simpler and the time spend with your tot is less frustrating.
