This HEI external adjustment knob is an absolute junk! I am so angry! it was engineered by someone who's never actually seen an HEI distributor! This adjuster has like 15 degrees of timing slop, only held by one screw, has no room to actually move inside the HEI, and the black piece is actually plastic and the stub snaps right off of! I spent hours fixing the slop issue, modifying the HEI for more room, then the plastic stub snaps off. I could design better while sitting in the bathroom.

Decent part. It does the job, but personally I think it could have been designed better. Especially for the price. Kinda hard to install since they made the piece that holds the pin so big. Also, it’s not compatible with certain HEI’s. I have one for my SBC 350, and while I can put the knob in, it has 0 room to adjust. What I’ll have to end up doing is dremeling out the inside of my distributor to give it clearance. Wouldn’t be an issue if the pin was just smaller. Also use red thread lock on it
