About this product

Product Information

The Game Boy Advance in spice orange features bright color graphics, space for AA batteries, and stereo sound, offering a great gaming experience wherever you go. You can find a wide variety of games for the Game Boy Advance, along with lots of accessories to expand your gaming fun. The Game Boy Advance (GBA) in spice orange is a version of the popular Game Boy Advance handheld games system for Nintendo. The Game Boy Advance was originally released in Japan and North America in 2001, following the success of the Game Boy Color. It was discontinued in 2006 in Japan and 2008 in North America after the company launched the Nintendo DS games system. It has backward compatibility with earlier systems such as the Game Boy and the Game Boy Color, but is not compatible with newer systems such as the Nintendo DS. The GBA features an integrated screen and speaker, with control buttons to the side of the screen. The controls are similar to previous Game Boy consoles and classic Nintendo controllers. The left side features movement arrows, a start button, and a select button on the left side and A/B fire and sprint buttons on the right side. It also has additional firing buttons on the back side of the console, which is similar to modern controllers. The Game Boy Advance in orange features the same technical specifications as other Advance games systems. It has a 2.9-inch screen with a 240 by 160 pixel resolution. It runs on two AA batteries and features a battery life of up to 15 hours. If you use rechargeable batteries, you can enjoy additional gaming fun on the go. It has a 16.8 MHz CPU and supports 32-bit games, however, it also includes an 8-bit processor to support backwards compatibility with older games systems. Its dual 8-bit speakers support wave data and produce stereo sound. The Game Boy Advance in orange runs cartridge games. As it runs on AA batteries, it does not need a power cable or any additional cables to run smoothly.

Seller had in description: "The console has been tested and works like new," received GBA had faulty power switch. "The sound is loud and clear," GBA had crackly speaker on top the feedback from the power switch. Tear down found broken posts on both halves of the shell and missing screws. If it wasn't for the internal posts, one of the better stock shells I've found on Ebay. Everything else as described. Did not contact seller, will fix and use GBA in another project.

Undisclosed major flaw (problem with screen). Seller very rude when confronted & refused to acknowledge issue. Tons of gameboy sellers on here — buy from someone else.

  • GBA SP has stood the test of time.

I bought a Platinum GBA SP AGS-oo1 way back in 2002 from Game Square in Stanton, CA. Back then, it cost $90.00 or so. How time flies! But anyway, these consoles have stood the test of time & are still popular to this day. Nowadays, you can easily find plenty in various conditions for a good price. These consoles are very easy to use. Most people who're video game fans have owned one in their lifetime. There's literally hundreds of games available, something for everyone to enjoy. If you decide to buy one, I highly recommend you get the AGS-101 model with the extra back light setting.

  • One of the Greatest Old Game Boy Systems, and still FUN

As an old gamer, since Pong, I have always loved systems. I have the NDS, PSP, and lately the older systems, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Advance SP. I never owned the Game Boy series, that was for kids...........I thought! I like new graphics with all the bells and whistles, but sometimes it is just fun to "play the old way" with the Game Boy systems. I especially like the GBA, the width, sound and controls just feel right. I purchased a small light attachment and found it very useful and adds a little old schoolness to the system. As an adult, I can see why these systems caught on so well and kids enjoyed them so much. I am just beginning to enjoy, what is now just as much fun as I'm sure was enjoyed years ago. If you own a DS, it's fun to look back, how it all ...

  • Great bargain -- very cool!

The reason I bought this gameboy is because I really like this model and plus all my others ones were badly scrached. The only downside is because it is non-backlit. otherwise, This system was ok for me I have others but this one is the best this system also has a huge selection of games and most of the games are great! I would like to do business with you again, Also i would definetly recomend picking one up. It reminds me of the gameboy micro becuse they look similar plus they are both gameboys, and there both horizontal that was the last gameboy model and then ds came along, The gamboy micro is backlit wich is a very good up side except you might find youself squinting because it is a tiny hand held, its very compact. Sincerly, Sean Smile

  • Good procuct! Good value for the money!

I bought the Nintendo Game Boy Advanced for my Grandson because he likes playing games on it and it's portable so he won't have to be away from his games for even a minute. I wish it had a back light for easier use at night or in low light so he could keep playing. He says he doesn't need any sleep. This is a good product that is easy to use, But I wish the games selections cost a little less.
