A Great change from Potatoes or rice
I've tried the press you dough dthrough a collendar or grater and you get a mess. Making spaetzel with this is very easy and quick. Not too easy to clean, unless you spray it with cooking spray before use. Bought this as a gift because I received one and talked about making spaetzel ( German pasta dumplings-- very easy (1 Cup Flour, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup milk,1/2 tblsp salt, a dash of, pepper,and a quick grind of nutmeg, Mix to a sticky dough, spoon into this Spatzel maker over a boiling pan of water, cook for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool in an ice bath, draiin and fry lightly in a little butter until starting to brown. Serve hot, add butter, or gravy, or any sauce for an alternative to rice or potatles.
