Let me say the product is exactly as advertised and packaged exceedingly well! The problem lays with the vendors used to ship the product. Vendor used was way late and did not make estimate delivery time, nor did they meet their scheduled day of delivery. It was pushed out to arrive on one day by 7pm then kicked to the next day and another. Original shipping vendor UPS transferred it to USPS. I've had similar problems with other vendors doing the same. Either ship all UPS or all USPS.

Flexcut Starter Knife Set KN500 is VERY USEFUL in wood carving projects
I have used this KN500 knife set now for awhile, and it cuts and details basswood very well. It is also easy to sharpen the knives. Just be sure to keep them FLAT on the strop you're using as you pull it down the strop. It takes only 4 to 5 passes on a strop to keep the knife razor sharp. I sharpen them after I'm done using them. I also wear one glove on my left hand, and a thumb guard on my right thumb. This protects me from any serious cuts, which I have had before I started wearing these. I highly recommend Flexcut's KN500!I have used this KN500 knife set now for awhile, and it cuts and details basswood very well. It is also easy to sharpen the knives. Flexcut Knife Set
Arrived promptly/ Knives sharp, needed only a few strokes with the supplied compound on a rough leather strop. Handles well shaped and comfortable. RC61 hardness ensures knives will stay sharp with only occasional stropping. Ordered the micro palm set to complement the knives and mid size chisels I already have as I only intend to work on carvings I can hold in my lap.

as a disappointed craft knife user since my first exacto this is perfect. buy the strop to keep them 5razor shar[p. IMHO the Flexcut knives are the best and perfect carving tools. my favorite uncle carved decoys and birds in the 70s. even with the finest set of xacto tools they were never god enough. and could never be properly sharpened. whethr the tool steel or blade gemotery nothing works as good as FLEXCUT. effertless precise shaving. cut my gun leather project faster and safer than leather tools. makikes modeling a cinch. they are razor sharp so i won't carve in bare feet. Coupleled with JOOLTOOL sharing system perfect gifts afor every craftyer who needs sharp tools. Good knives at a good price
Easy to use & easy to sharpen; in fact a leather strop is all you need to keep them razor sharp. Easy on the hands (I have arthritis) and easy to control, Quality knifes at a fair price. Almost as good as my Harley Refsal knife. The detail knife is great for eyes and facial components, it could be a little smaller.
