Circus and Scorcery and Love- Magical
The writer handles the complicated plot very well, I adore the characters and wished the book had been much longer- hope for a sequel soon. This would also make a wonderful film. Sometimes I got confused when the author goes backwards and forwards in time, but one gets used to it. Overall, I loved this book.

A pretty book with a story to match.
We all heard the saying &quot;Never judge a book by it&apos;s cover&quot;. I tried not to. But I&apos;m glad I did this time. The Night Circus is a pretty book. It&apos;s a beautiful cover. My friend bought the UK version which was even prettier, though the dust jacket was not as attractive as the American BUT the actual book was red, a silver image of a clock printed on the front and the edge of the pages were licked black. That&apos;s part of the reason that I bought it. The other, the last push for me to checkout, was the story. The Night Circus is the venue for two young magicians to complete in a &quot;show-off&quot; game that they are bound to since they were young children by their Mentors. I did feel like there was something missing. The whole book was written in the third person and at times, it feels like the author is just commentating the events. I feel there was a lack of emotion, especially in the some parts of the plot where it requires more feeling. For example, during the scenes where the young magicians are declaring their love - though this point could be abit biased, I&apos;m a sucker for love stories. However, this type of narrative does have some good use, like when the story requires some bluntness and &quot;it is what it is&quot; attitude - for instance, during training, one mentor would slice open his student&apos;s fingers till she could heal them (by magic) all at the same time. Despite the above paragraph, I will still heartily recommend this book. There&apos;s a nice wee flow of words - the breaks mades sense and it catches your attention so you will read the next chapter. Ms Morgenstern gives us in words brilliant descriptions of the Circus. There is alot of fine detail of food, clothes, acts...I heard it has already sold its rights to a movie company, and I look forward to see how they transfer the detail onscreen (but I don&apos;t have my hopes up). I enjoyed reading this book. I liked it enough to buy a copy of my own - though I won&apos;t deny that it doesn't look good on my bookshelf.

I read this book when it first came out and it haunted me with its beautiful mystical story 😍 something enjoyable for YA as well as older readers! Am upset that I didn't keep it, but So happy to have a beautiful near new copy! For anyone who loves magic 🎩 and great storytelling ❣️
