    Uniden had a unique product in the TWX977. We've owned ours for decades. Every time anything has gone wrong with the handset or charging stand we sorted it out either by having them repaired or replaced. We've used these submersible phones around our pool, and now around our Jacuzzi. No phone maker offers a submersible phone. I was glad to find this one. They are indeed submersible. We've had the phone in the hot tub hot water more than once without issue. I was able to pair this handset with our Uniden base unit and it works fine. Unfortunately these are only available used, and you have to have a specific Uniden base unit to go with it.

    Uniden TWX977 Yellow Submersible 5.8 cordless Expansion Handset Phone

    I can not get it to register. It is exactly the same as my old one and using my old set. I love my old phone but just can't get this new one to work. Perhaps the person did something wrong?? She tried 4 times, and it wouldn't go thru.

    Waterproof Cordless Phone

    Excellent range. I can use this all around my property and out to the dock and the boat. It's waterproof so you can leave it out on the boat in the rain or drop it in the pool and it still operates perfectly. The bright yellow and black color combination (think Yellow Jacket Bumble Bee) make it pretty easy to spot just about anywhere you leave it. The phone is able to answer either of our two lines from the main house. It's been so convenient that I find myself forwarding my cell phone to one of the house lnes and using thi8s Uniden all over my property.

    Uniden Tru-Digital TWX977

    this Uniden Line of Phones is not the best. It has all the makings for the best syste and this phone is like a tank HOWEVER the reception is just not good on these phones. I dont know if it is the base or the phones, but you cant go more than 25 feet away and not have static. The phone functionality is just perfect giving all the features you could possibly want in caller id, a great speaker phone, intercom, and too many others to mention. this particular phone is so tough, I imagine it could be dropped 50 stories and you would never know it. Still the reception is quite poor.

    2-Line Cordless Expansion Heavy-Duty Handset Phone

    It has all the conveniences of the regular expansion handsets but one big difference. It is rugged, wrapped in industrial strenght rubber to take the abuse in a workshop or a garage. It is waterproof so if you get it greasey in the garage or in the kitchen and you won't be afraid to clean it. And it is perfect around a pool area and if it falls in the water it is not ruined like any other phone would be. I personnally think this is a smart addition to your Uniden TRU 8866 or 9466 5.8 GHz 2-Line Cordless Telephone System. Take it with you in case the phone rings while your in the tub or the shower (you know it always does) and don't worry if you drop it - it won't break ! ! ! I'm afraid I have just about talked myself into a couple more of these rugged bad boys, how about you ? ...
