    Still a Great Model Kit

    I had one of these as a kid but never got to build it. I figured it was time to make that childhood dream come true. Much has been written about the AMT refit Enterprise kits of this era. They have the molded-in panel lines that a lot of purist model makers hate. I think it's still a beautiful representation of the best-looking of all the Star Trek ships. The lights and sound feature is a very cool bonus, and can be made to look exceptional with some basic modeling skills. Some folks have even made some additions to the basic lighting with their own wiring. I am looking forward to making this kit.

    Some parts not easy to attached as we could see in instructions.

    Attaching the "wings/engines" was a nightmare. Same thing with "the dish". You have to use your logic to find the solution to make sure the above will "hold and stay in it's place" as seen on the picture.
