Easy dealings, item as advertised, packed well, and shipped promptly. Sadly AGAIN, the USPS took nearly three weeks to deliver the package, and tracking was essentially useless (2 weeks from just across the Mississippi River, and no tracking information for 8 days)

  • Informative!

This book is a great addition to my collection of reference materials for depression glass. This book introduces various patterns in a well-organized manner, and provides just the right amount of detail for a beginner, and I would imagine enough to fill in gaps for the more experienced collector. The photos and illustrations are plentiful and of good quality.

  • Great book for sellers and collectors.

I bought this Ninth Edition of Collectible Glassware fom the 40s, 50s, 60s to add to my library of Gene Florence books. The photos are clear. The numbering system on pattern outlines make matching pieces to descriptions easy. I am disappointed that the "Bubble"/"Bullseye" Provincial by Anchor Hocking Glass Company 1940-1965 omits the stemware shown in past issues. It would be helpful to see the different bases/foot patterns and have measurements for juice, water, sherbet, and ice tea. Overall, a great resource.

  • Another important work by Gene & Cathy Florence

This excellent, well-written, highly illustrated book by two of the most important authors on this subject, should be in the library of any collector or dealer of American glassware produced during the 40's, 50's or 60's. 253 glossy pages, full of highly detailed, color photographs, historical information, and current prices make this an indespensible reference work to the American glass afficionado. Fully indexed, it is arranged by pattern name; but, is further cross-referenced by manufacturer. Each pattern is further defined by the colors that are available in it; detailed discriptions of pieces available in the pattern, and current prices of the pieces. Color photographs give a detailed view of the pieces and the pattern, to make identification easier. The notes reflect additional ...

  • Great reference for the collector!

Great reference for the collector even though prices are out of date. Still helps in identifying items. Very pleased with purchase.

I know this book inside and out. This book is excellent for beginners. Rather than purchase an item and come home to look it up on the internet, you can browse this book before you go to auction. Invaribly you will see an item at auction and say to yourself "I just saw that pattern in the book !" Love the book.
