The pole took longer to ship than expected, but it was not the fault of the seller but rather an issue with the supplier. The seller was great about keeping me up to date about shipping and answered all the questions I had. When the pole did ship it got to me pretty quickly. It arrived in perfect condition and I was able to assemble it easily. I love it.

  • If the man has a horn: put this ribbon in front of him

A noticeably open and natural high end. Simply fantastic for brass: line these up side to side a meter apart for a horn section, and be amazed at how little bleed there is between instruments (from being in the null of the polar patter from each other). The only real caveats: They do pick up a lot of low end rumble: so you'll want to high pass these on your console or DAW. I once got a ring at really high SPLs (not sure of the cause - but it might be the mic casing) so, it might not work in a guitar cabinet iso box, for example. Its also a big fella with a huge case. They require a lot of gain, and self noise is higher than most mics, like most ribbons: not problematically though. The 210B gets the vintage ribbon vocal quality on vocals effortlessly. FWIW: I prefer these over the Apex ...

  • A fine instrument in a pretty package

it is well constructed, solid and attractive, a beautiful microphone. But looks mean very little when it comes to microphones. This is above all a beautiful sounding devise! i know, a lot of "experts" look at oriental ribbon microphones as somehow being inferior to more expensive microphones. Frankly i think they are idiots! Why in the world would someone pay thousands of dollars for a microphone when a quality mike like this is available? I suppose if they want to spend that kind of money, lt is their choice, not mine. I understand that this is strictly a "studio" microphone and is meant to be mounted, not hand-held but a little more attention to isolating the mic element from the microphone body would me my only suggestion for improving its quality. I love the "box" it comes ...
