    Won’t play properly

    The movie stops playing about halfway through. This is the second copy of the same movie I purchased from EBAY and both do the same thing. So, I went out and bought a new dvd player and the same thing again. Then I tried it at my neighbors home and same problem again. Not sure what is the problem with both copies.

The Duke is assigned by a powerful US mining magnate (played impressively by Sir Cedric Hardwicke) to build a railroad to his newest mines. The two men lock horns from the outset and the adventure begins. Duke wants to build the railroad safely but the cost-conscious industrialist has other ideas. To make matters worse, Duke falls for his daughter! Judith Anderson and Anthony Quinn also star in this superior adventure film. Original Theatrical Release 1947.
