A Must For Any Quilter's Library
I remember when this book was advertised in nearly every quilting magazine. At the time, I resisted the temptation to order it. I'm now sorry that I waited so long to buy it---but it was worth the wait. Like many of my favorites, I purchased it to resell, but it just didn't make it to auction. This covers every aspect of quiltmaking, but is a how-to book rather than a pattern book. Everything from traditional hand-piecing and quilting methods to modern quick cut and sew methods is explored and clearly explained and illustrated. It is a book that I have turned to again and again. What a wonderful book! The perfect book for the beginner quilter. I took a quilting class this summer and the instructor had many books. I borrowed several and this one was the one I wanted to be on my shelf! Great A-Z sections of all that you will cover while making a quilt. Great color pictures. Wonderful detail which is very easy to follow and understand. Also has section with "try this" ideas.What a wonderful book! The perfect book for the beginner quilter. Great book for information on many quilting topics! A must have!
This is a great book for quilters, from beginners to those more experienced. It was recommended as the "go to" book by my teacher when I started taking a quilting class. There are students of all ages (from 35-80) and quilting levels in the class, & we all have the book and refer to it for guidance or help as needed. I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in sewing or quilting!
