Convenient but not excellent tool.
The Black & Decker alkaline cordless screwdriver is somewhat disappointing. Unlike B&D's better designed tools, this one cannot used a "double-ender" blade, the kind with Philips on one end and slotted head on the other. B&D does provide the two bits, but there is no storage, so you have to tape one bit to the handle so as hot to lose it. The gearing is nothing like the older models. The speed of the driver is somewhat slow, and you would expect the torque to be high, but it's only average. The older models used an ingenious four-planetary gear-set to give both speed and torque. The price of this tool is pretty low, so you may consider it a decent value. Personally, I'd rather pay a little more to get the old B&D design. Works great, but the two bits are a problem.
I had the B & D former model of this, and I loved it. This new one is like it, except for color; but the bits are separate with no storage for them. The two-ended bit was much nicer. They have a lot of power.
