Not enough guidance on how to develop speed.
I got this out of the package a little disappointing, it was just a DVD. I hoping a booklet but there was none, although there is a PDF file in the DVD with tablature for the DVD. I've gone 5 lessons in, and the DVD was not for me. On the DVD it says learn how to shred, to me that meant tips and techniques and instructions on hand coordination and speed. Basically instructions and tips on how to play faster. I was pretty far off. It's either songs that have moderate difficulty, or hand exercises. The exercises i won't sell short, they are useful for developing speed. But they inform you what they are basically. Video is almost a bonus, all you need is the tablature and a metronome. It doesn't tell you tips on how to develop or go about doing the exercise or about developing speed. I was ... I got this out of the package a little disappointing, it was just a DVD. I was unsatisfied at this DVD because it wasn't for me, the guitarist getting into fast playing trying to develop good foundation for speed and shred. This is probably a good DVD if you mix it with your own instructor, so he can maybe guide you through the exercises, but alone, this DVD doesn't give you a lot of information.

It was ok
I was expecting more than what was in the video. It turns out it was just a bunch of small lessons here and there, alot of which were just MAB (michael angelo battio) riffs. I think if you are a MAB fan you would like this vid, but there wasn't lessons like i thought it would be. I bought it because it said learn to shred, but really all it was is watching MAB shredding. There were some useful exercises but very few. All in all I would prefer my money back.I was expecting more than what was in the video. Great instruction and great dvd
I bought the dvd Learn Shred Guitar, and I like it. It is very usefull and teachable. I bought it because, I need to learn more shred, and need some tips.
