    Wow! Love Surf Music? Then look no further for the ULTIMATE currently available box set on Surf Music than this. You get a excellent book & fold out poster & 4 cd's of unsurpassed music. This came out in 1996 and is moderately priced now ($80.00 +). It was worth it to me after seeing and listening to the presentation. 5 stars! I

    Surf It

    Rhino's 4-disc box set is superb (as all their boxes prove to be). This compilation explores surf music and its reverb guitar at its best with artists that you might expect, such as Dick Dale, the Ventures, the Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and so on, but a host of lesser-known bands are present as well—and they're killer! Fav songs are "Pier Pressure" by Teisco Del Rey, "Banzai Run" by The Phantom Surfers, "Spanish Blue" by The Aqua Velvets, "Killer Dana" by The Chanteys, "Punta Baja" by The Eliminators, "Save the Waves" by the Surfdusters (the guitar intro is cool', Dude!) and "Wingnut's Theme" by The Sandals. This last from the film The Endless Summer. Music and film recommended.

    Great anthology

    Excellent box set with virtually every aspect of surf music represented by the right tracks (with the exception of The Ventures’ “Walk Don’t Run” which appears as the 1964 remake instead of the 1960 original).
