A smart step up
To be clear, there are more than 2 speeds in this drill. There are two RANGES of variable speed controlled by the trigger pull and the power is impressive. It's my first 18v tool and I love the features. A bit carrier and angled handle make it really versatile. It weights more than the 12v, especially with the 4.0 AMP battery, but is still lighter than my corded 1/2 inch drill. This item came without battery, but the other tools RYOBI has that use the same batteries are so affordable and numerous, you can call the battery a key to the tool shed.To be clear, there are more than 2 speeds in this drill.
