Perfect fit for my monitor - out of sight, neat, sounds good for typical uses on my PC. Not designed to replace a $500 speaker system, but more than adequate for occasional listening to music in the background while working on the PC. I have to say that I haven't checked out its ability to do a pass-through for using headphones, but that's not why I bought it. I have a triple monitor stand outfitted with three Dell U2414H monitors; the bottom two are for my computer while the top monitor is for my Roku dongle so I can watch TV at times while working. I had rigged an external speaker to work with it but I really liked how the AC511 attaches to the bottom of the monitor which frees up space on my desk. I found these a while back but decided to pull the trigger on one earlier this week. You'll need to remove the slot covers on the bottom of the monitor(s) for attachment; the speaker attaches via the slots and slides into place with a little push. Just be careful not to rock the speaker forward or backward as it could break the plastic tabs that attach to the monitor. Also, you will need a 3.5mm audio cable to connect the speaker to your computer ... The volume knob could use some serrations or a knobby surface/dial to make adjustment easier as it's smooth and can be a littly tricky to turn. Otherwise, it does the job and I'm very happy with it. I'm using Amazon Basics speakers on my desktop currently and am considering replacing them with 2 more of the AC511's to complete the look. If you're looking for an out-of-the way solution for your Dell monitors, these speaker bars do a nice job. These speaker bars are compatible with several Dell model monitors so you will need to check compatibility. They do make an M-model that clamps to your monitor stand versus the monitor itself as well.

Perfect Minimalist Sound Bar
This is the perfect sound bar that fits all of the newer Dell Professional Monitors. One USB cable is used so there isn't an extra cable for power or sound. Dell quality is always high, so if that matters, it will give you a warm and fuzzy to check off of your list.
