In this fourth season of the hit dramatic series from FX, the entire Ladder 62 crew is persecuted by the media for failing to prevent the death of seven children in a fire. That, unfortunately, is only the beginning of the tragedy and turmoil in store for the boys and their families. Tommy's daughter Colleen runs away from home, Janet is concerned her newborn baby doesn't like her, the verdict is announced for Uncle Teddy's manslaughter trial, and one of Engine 62's own commits suicide. As if that weren't enough, Tommy himself is being investigated for a beach house fire in the incendiary fourth season of this feverishly macho, seriocomic heavyweight. An apoplectic Denis Leary once again leads the game cast, who is joined by guest stars Gina Gershon (SHOWGIRLS, FACE/OFF), Desmond Harrington (WRONG TURN), and Artie Lange (BEER LEAGUE).

    A bit uneven, but still a more than solid season

    Haunted firefighter Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) knows about tragedy all too well. He doesn't quite remember what happened at the beach-house at the end of the previous season of FX's Rescue Me, but all he does know is that he is under investigation, while Sheila (Callie Thorne) picks up the pieces. To make things more hectic, Tommy and his estranged wife Janet (Andrea Roth) are taking care of the new baby, that may be Tommy's or may be his late brother's (Dean Winters). Tommy's concerns over the baby's safety come into question as well, which leads to a decision that could forever destroy any repairs made to his marriage with Janet. In the meantime, Chief Reilly (Jack McGee) gets worse news; Sean (Steven Pasquale) starts to grow a pair in regards to his new marriage to Maggie (Tatum O'Neal) ...

    rescue me season 4

    well, i love the show. its so real, like any other fx show. i like denis leary alot in this role. alot of fun, sadness, love, this show has it all. not 2 mention its paying tribute 2 firefighters, which denis leary is always helping them in all sorts of benefits 2 help them. so this show is really 4 them. i was waiting 4 season 4 like crazy. i'm finnaly glad that i have it now.

    Rescue Me Season 4

    Denis Leary is back with his believable portrayal of New York firefighter Tommy Gavin in season 4's Rescue Me. Once again, Leary and his supporting cast delivers the goods to his viewers. On the heels of the major fire at Sheila's, Tommy tries to rebuild his life with wife Janet and the new baby, while trying to keep his other kids, and the firehouse at the top of his priority list. The raw, edgy show sees a lot of changes at the firehouse this season, with a new, young probie who likes to shake things up....I give this season a thumbs up!

    Just OK.

    Price was good, DVDs worked fine, but the clips holding DVDs in the jewel cases were broken. As for the buy two get one free special ... it never happened.

    Rescue Me is the best 'fire department' show ever.

    My daughter got me hooked on this show. Coming from a fire department family, I was never interested in watching a program like this. With other programs I would find myself saying, "That would never happen." With Rescue Me, I am so engrossed in the story, I don't do that. Plus, the technical advisers keep it real. The banter, and teasing, between the fire fighters is great. Their 'flaws' just make them more lovable and human. I can't wait for the next season to begin.
