You are now seeing the push button lock on other pliers but it's not the same at all. These pliers are far superior in design in many ways that you will notice and will make a difference every day on the job. The push button you push it, slide it, it locks and it stays. They are thin making it easier to grip something in tight spaces and yet strong. I was surprised at how wide the jaws open especially the smallest size. If you use pliers a lot they are a must have.
