Recommend to switch from tom-tom
I switched from tom-tom and don't regret. Tom tom is very outdated and old units have effect, I switched from 6" screen to this 7" screen and its first plus. But in compare this is number 1 GPS on the market now, very advance and easy to use. Big buttons, easy suggestions for address. The only thing it is missing its not asking u about Toll road, if u want to avoid or not. There is option in settings to avoid toll roads but u need to go to settings every time u want to change that. I drive in area where we have a lot of toll roads handsome times i take them some times not so would be good if GPS would ask me overtime there is toll on the way , if I want to include tolls or to avoid them ( sort of like tom-tom has it) Other then that Im satisfied and recommend this to all!I switched from tom-tom and don't regret. Very Nice but Too Expensive
Like any decent,modern GPS system, you'll find all the usual features on this model, however, it's the extras that my wife enjoys the most of this updated unit. Let's start with the backup camera. It's a somewhat versatile mounting camera (but a "licence plate" model would be better for trucks with hitches) ,has a clear picture with colored guild lines that are adjustable according to the drivers needs. A key feature of this unit and the reason I purchased this for my wife. It takes getting use to (especially if mounted on the left or right side of truck hitch) but is very useful nonetheless. Finding & adding various stops along your route is easier with this unit than previous ones and clear icons for Gas, Food and other items make finding what you want, as you drive, very ... Voice commands enable you to speak your destination into your GPS (but again, takes getting used to). Sound indicators alert you to school zones and color changes alert you speed zone fluctuations. Helpful information to say the least. Though the screen of this unit is much bigger than older models it doesn't consume as much windshield space as you'd expect but that depends entirely on the interior mounting location & the size of the vehicle it's used in. Great for large cars,trucks or vans though I wouldn't recommend this for a small or medium car. Free Lifetime map updates, how can that be a bad thing. Using or going through the website with this unit is easy but problems might occur if you wish to transfer older GPS Favorites to this newer unit. I had to manually input ALL previous GPS Favorites from older GPS into the new one, a hassle yes, but not a deal breaker. Finally, I'll address the cost. With GPS being even more widely available via cell phones and other hand held portable devices the cost for this system is high. A cheaper GPS with a third party after market camera could do almost everything this unit does at a fraction of the cost but the finish project could look amateurish or even down right ugly. Overall, I don't think it's worth the price but my wife loves it, so there you go.

Don't buy this until they make the Cyclops available.
This unit has a bright screen, large display, and is as easy to use as the previous nuvi I owned. There is one HUGE drawback for me which is why it didn't get five stars throughout. You cannot add on the Cyclops red light camera feature by subscription. I tried it and it didn't work. Then talked with Garmin reps who said it isn't made for this unit. Bah-Humbug!! Why would you include such a downgrade on an otherwise upscale unit? I fabricated a wedged shaped adapter and installed on dash with Velcro. Looks as if it was a built-in. Typical Garmin quality and function. Makes my 2013 Toyota Venza look like a toy, no comparison. A best buy!

Chinese vs American Sellers
I went through two other Chinese Seller items. Both worked terribly and finally crapped-out after just a few weeks. The price was great but when it came to warranty you are on your own and the cost to send it back to China was more than I paid for the item.
