About this product

Product Information

John Wayne stars as Sean Mercer, a tough trapper who travels the world to capture animals and sell them to zoos. As he and his ragtag crew roam the plains of Africa searching for giraffes and zebras, they encounter Anna Maria "Dallas" D'Allesandro (Elsa Martinelli), a beautiful photographer who asks to travel with them. While the crew presses on, the excitement of the chase inevitably causes feelings of attraction to grow between gruff Mercer and pretty Dallas. The fun is the way they do it~ John Wayne as the MOODY "boss" ADD Red Buttons who has many fun schemes that work but not always well to creatively capture animals along with Hardy Kruger and the LOVELY ELSA MARTINELLI. As the photographer who NO one wants there but ends up STAYING against their wishes to do an article on the group~ she is smart and funny and makes the GRUMPY Wayne see what a beauty she is~ ADD the great theme by Henry Mancini "Baby Elephant Walk"~ The fun part is where a HERD of baby orphaned elephants chases the girl down (Elsa) all over the town~ very cute and funny~ silly no real plot~ WE love Wayne~ he never ...

    Hatari is entertaining for all all age groups

    Fabulous Henry Mancini musical score. So good that I bought the CD. Lots of action, laughs, and good characters. Dialog was fair. John Wayne can't act, but the story was still good.
