  • Bee Gees Went Deep With Many Fond Associations

Of course I had these songs on early Bee Gees albums or 45s in the 60's. I always had musical tastes that spanned from Classical to Soul and Motown. The Bee Gees used patterns, harmonies, lyrics and transitions that appealed to me on many of my musical "nerves". They could bring tears to my eyes, stir butterflies in my insides and provoke deep early teenager thoughts and images. I wish I could have convinced my bandmates to do their songs. Yep. Many fond associations are conjured up from this well mastered and assembled group of songs. I know this makes sense to most...even if you are not that "musically sensitive"...but just enjoy some of the best, melodic, early rock.

  • Bee Gees Greatest Hits Vol. 1

I had heard for years that the early Bee Gees material was great pop, and not at all like the disco stuff that they're known for. Although this is a collection of their 60's hits, I was only familiar with two of the songs on this disc prior to purchasing it. However, all the songs grew on me very quickly. Those lads were talented and they almost seemed to be competing with each other to shine the brightest. This disc did not disappoint.

  • Best Of Bee Gees by the BEE GEES (CD, July 1987, Polydo

Actually The Best Of The Bee Gees didn't come out in 1987, maybe that's when they made it in the CD. I had this "Record Album", in late 1960's. The Cover looks just like the Album cover of the 1960's. These quys were some of the very TOP when it came to harmony! Not only harmoney but, the "Brother's Gibb" could really tell some fabulous stories in their songs!

  • The Real BeeGees..

Wow.. Who doesn't love the great songs that came out of the hearts of the Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.. especially if you revel in the songs of the 60's and early 70's. "Holiday.." "I started A Joke.." "Massachusetts.." "The New York Mining Disaster 1941.." These aren't just songs.. they are poetic expressions set to music.. that haunt you for days after hearing them. This CD has all the early hits and brings back some wonderful memories.. buy it if you get a chance..
