    The right tool for stubborn insulation

    Simple and good design. I precut insulation with sharp plier type strippers, and those that stick to the conductor and won't flick off easily without stretching the jacket are quickly and effortlessly removed properly with the Klein. Sure beats splitting and peeling tough ones. Not sure what "lenses" are on the 3rd question above, but if it has them they obviously perform.

    finally, a decent pair

    I've had 10$ cheapie versions of these, and this is in another class. Heavy duty these tackle some heavy wire including Romex. they feel tighter and and more consistent. the jaws are sharper thn cheepies too providing better grip and piercing of jacket. BUT be carefull, these are NOT for super thin and fine stranded wire such as 26 ga. but all others I,ve tried have trouble with something so thin.
