This item didn’t come in exactly as pictured, but the seller responded immediately and was very gracious in offering me a partial refund even bough I wasn’t expecting one for what I paid for the item. I have bought from this seller before, and they are reputable and stand behind the products they sell. My other transactions with them have been perfect. Great communication. Packaging and price were good. Fairly fast shipping, too. Thanks.

This item came in exactly as pictured, and the seller posted immediately and was very gracious. I didn't ask for a partial refund. Why would I? I bought what I was expecting and received what I paid for the item. Not sure if I have bought from this seller before, but they are reputable and stand behind the products they sell. My future transactions with them will no doubt be perfect. Great communication. Packaging and price were good. Fairly fast shipping, too. Thanks.

  • A truly great book of the genre!

A truly great book.Full spreads of many unheard of Heroes. You get to appreciate full stories, and great covers from the early careers of some of the pioneering talents in the genre. The commentary is saved for the last couple of pages and gives an informative history of the character as well as well researched stories of the respective artists, and creators.Well worth the money.Nice size format makes for easy reading.Well done!

  • SUPERMEN -- EARLY HEROES OTHER THAN SUPERMAN

This is just a wonderful collection of really primitive comic book heroes. It does not concentrate on the characters who have retained their fame like Superman, Batman, Captain Marvel and Captain America. Despite my calling them primitive, some of the stories and art are really devloped well, such as a story of masked man, The Clock, from 1937. The battle between the monstrous Claw and the original Daredevil is worth the price of the book alone. Early artists like Joe Shuster and Bill Everett are represented but before they made it with their famous characters like Superman and Sub-Mariner. There are stories from the most eccentric of publishers, Centaur, with Everett and Basil Wolverton art, but I would have liked to have seen the quirky Amazing Man and The Eye, the huge floating eye ...
