I did receive the pump on Wed 3/20/24.When i opened the box there broken pieces of plastic in the bottom of the box, these pieces where from the float switch housing, and the float switch was broken of the motor housing. I told the seller at MPT Liquidations 1what I received with pictures. He said he would get back to me the next day, but no response. I spent $70 for this pump. Are these people responsible for their things they sale?

It worked great for 9 years. Loved it.
I purchased this in December of 2014, so it worked for 9 years and one day it just did not turn on. There was never a burning smell or loud noise or annoying noise in all of the previous years. I loved it. Mostly used it for just the fireplace light ambiance and I rarely used the heater because it was on the same circuit as my heat cables and it would shut off at the breaker. When it just quit, it was like, well what went wrong? It had worked several days before. Could not figure out why it died, did some component or board go bad? Contacting the company did not help. They issued a ticket and said they would call and never did. But it was 9 years old and figured we had definitely gotten our money's worth. So.....took it apart and my husband traced the power with his voltage ... I purchased this in December of 2014, so it worked for 9 years and one day it just did not turn on. I decided I wasn't done with it and because it has an orange like filter, I just put a nightlight inside and then plugged that in with an extension cord and it just kind of had a glow. You could get an electrician to rewire the spinning thingy and the lights, so it can be plugged into a regular plug independent of the product. As a bonus, the remote control also works with a Lasko fan, so even that didn't go to waste. As for the quality, it is sturdy, and I think it is quite realistic. I have smaller fireplace box and the newer electronic ones are all too big.

Got a second one for another room.
Great fit in a vintage fireplace. Puts out a lot of heat but hat to stop the evaluation since it’s 84 degrees in the house. Nice look on the flames and safer then a real fire in our fireplace.
