The movie that introduced Jeff Healey to the world
The best thing about this soundtrack is Jeff Healey. There are more-established artists such as Bob Seger, Little Feat, and Otis Redding, but Jeff Healey is truly an inspirational player. In fact, to be honest, the main reason I love the movie is because Jeff Healey not only plays much of the music in it but he has a few scenes with Patrick Swayze (who also contributed two songs to the soundtrack). The soundtrack did have one omission: a cover of Canned Heat's 'On the Road Again' appeared in the movie but not the soundtrack, a shame considering the overall theme and feel of the movie.The best thing about this soundtrack is Jeff Healey. I MUST HAVE THIS CD SOMEWHERE BECAUSE THE MUSIC AND SONGS ARE WHAT MADE THIS MOVIE.JEFF HEALLY'S BAND PLAYED THEIR SELVES AND PATRICK SWAYSIE SANG A COUPLE OF SONGS ALSO. Road House W / Patrick Swayze Movie Sound Track.
This in my opinion is one of the classics that takes in romance, power struggle, loyalty, dsdication and to me, personal growth. Everyone should see it, Jeff Healey is a fantastic artist, blind as well. I have seen the movie many, many times and love it. Another good one in my view is A Few Good Men with Nickolson and Cruise. Dalton, I thought youd be bigger! People who really want to have a good time won't come to a slaughterhouse. And we've got entirely too many troublemakers here. Great soundtrack must have one...
It's a great CD, When I first saw Road House there was no napster or anything like, there was no computer at home even, but now I saw the movie again and just thought I have to find the soundtrack, because the songs are good and the interpreters have a great performance, If you like the music you have to have this sountrack...
