High functionality, lightweight, simple, and smooth!
I really like this pedal. The action feels as good or better then my DW 5000 Delta III. It doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" the 5000 has, but less can be more! The lack of a base plate makes this pedal lightweight and great for gigging. Like the 5000, the 6000 has the Delta Ball Bearing Hinge, and I think that's the most important component. Also, I'm a sucker for the Nylon strap drive. It seems to have a smooth and bouncy feel I really dig. (I play primarily funk, jazz, classic rock, neo-soul.) I have a DW 5000 with a Nylon strap drive, and the Nylon strap is still in great shape after over 20 years of use! I got my 6000 pedal for $115, and I think it was a fantastic deal.I really like this pedal. The action feels as good or better then my DW 5000 Delta III. I've been using this pedal for a few weeks and I love it. It's size fits perfectly in my 6000 series ultralight bag and it performs as it should. You won't be blast-beating with it but it holds its own against other pedals that I own, including a Tama Iron Cobra for being solid, smooth, and it's surprisingly fast.
