Adam West and Burt Ward returned to the Batman franchise in 1977. But West and Ward didn't squeeze into any ill-fitting costumes; instead they provided voices for a collection of animated adventures titled THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN. This release includes 16 episodes from the show and features familiar characters and, of course, the wonderfully gloomy backdrop of Gotham City. But regular Bat-watchers may be surprised by the presence of Batmite, a character who claims to be Batman's biggest fan and who won't leave the caped crusader alone!

    Holy Bat Adventures Batman !

    Anyone who loves the Super Friends who also loves the tongue-in-cheek adventures of the 60's Batman TV show will like these cartoons. This series was around the same time as the Super Friends, but used the voices of the 60's Batman and Robin - Adam West and Burt Ward. Not as complex of stories as cartoons of today, but most Bat fans, and especially young children, would find them entertaining. I would recommend.

    Camp in Cartoon Form

    The New Adventures of Batman was basically The Batman Tv show from 1966 in cartoon form complete with Adam West as the voice of Batman and Burt Ward as the voice of Robin the boy wonder. If you were a fan of the original tv 60's tv show you'll like this animated series. It's good clean fun for the whole family especially with Batmite they younger crowd will enjoy him. All in all is another classic from the Filmation Library that make a nice addition to any Animated - Cartoon library.

    70's Batman cartoons are better than todays cartoons

    I was browsing Youtube when I found out there were cartoons of Batman that released in the late 70's entitled "The new adventures of Batman". I decided to pick up the dvd's for my young nephew and he loved it! I sat there and watched a few episodes on my own and found that they were very entertaining and innocent. I'd much rather show these than the new batman cartoons of today which are more violent. Plus, the artwork of today's have way too much japan animation influence. The classic American style is much more eye pleasing.
