Bought a watch crown and received a package with a 5mm hole the size of the watch crown and no crown in the package… I did however find the original crown I lost so I don’t need a replacement.

This hole is in every envelope and is used for sealing and lacing. The crown was in a plastic bag and could never come out. I hope you checked inside before throwing the envelope in the garbage...
