  • AND I WAS REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY EXCITED FOR THIS ONE, TOO...

    I've always wanted to know MORE about Batman's teachers that helped him to become the Batman, especially the martial arts' teachers and the greatest escape artist master of them all, the legendary magician Zatara. That's why I wanted this book so badly. Unfortunately, instead of focusing on what I wanted to see the most of: THE ART OF ESCAPE (getting out of handcuffs, escaping prisons and sealed coffins; using smoke pellets to disappear and reappear, picking locks and surviving falls from great heights), Bruce's time with Zatara is just completely wasted here on some utterly stupidly awful demon nonsense. (Hard Groan.) Didn't care for the American embassy mission either. (Another Triple Hard Groan.) Actually, for me, the only thing that REALLY felt like BATMAN about this book at all was ...
