  • Great Book!

This book has many examples that students or users need to help guide them write an interpretive essay. the poems are interesting and there are plenty to choose from. i wouldnt resale my book because i'd like to use it for references. it helped guide me as through my english course in a college semester. i would recommend this book as long as there's an instructor who can help point out highlights in the book. if no intructors are there to help then i'd take a little more time reading the material for examples. it's a great book overall in my opinion. you just have to do the work and give it the time it needs as with any english course material.

  • Helping me with Thinking and Writing About Literature.

I really loved this book. It has really come in handy for both my English 101 class and my English 102 class. There are alot of great poems, stories, short stories, and plays to read about. Plus, there is background information on most of the authors. This should be what every English teacher should use in there classes.

  • An Excellent read for readers and those who aren't.

I bought this book for an English II class and love the way the the author encourages you to participate in the literature.
