Product Information

Virtual Navy SEALs are deployed in another high-stakes adventure of clandestine operations and global intrigue, as Sony's SOCOM series returns for its third tour of duty. Like earlier editions, SOCOM 3 features squad-based assaults against well-protected, heavily armed targets. Multiplayer modes challenge teammates to work together, while solo players can give orders to squad members through a new "Team Command Actions" context-sensitive interface. Vehicles play a bigger role in this adventure, on land and in the water. Both human- and AI-controlled characters can pilot available Humvees and SOC-R Assault Boats. Also new in this edition is a weapon customization system that allows soldiers to equip various attachments to their weapons, for almost a thousand possible combinations.

    Socom 3

    This game is really great. It shows you the real feel of how to lead a team of men on a mission where you can tell them where to go and what to do. An example of this would be that you can tell your men to throw grenades or send them to a specific location. It has very interesting missions and gameplay. This game can get confusing if you are a little kid or do not really know about navy seals. People can get confused with the wording of the commands you are getting and the navy terms they use. This game has another great feature. you can also play online in this game which is great. Overall i would give this game a 4 out of 5.

    Best 3rd person shooter ever!

    Back in the day this game was a perfect execution of team play, voice chat a 3rd person view availability was what actually set this game apart from other shooters for the ps2 it was a money maker! The SOCOM Servers have been down for years but campaign is still available for gameplay I believe (dont quote ne). Sony's biggest mistake was the end of Socom, Zipper interactive and the millions of socom fans who basically bought an Xbox shortly after hearing there would be no more socom because we were all angry and still are at Sony after all these years for ruining a good thing. there was to be a new game called H-Hour however Sony put a stop to that also because molder's made a layover mod which let you play it with the socom view and Sony wouldn't allow it.     SOCOM 3: Can it get any better

    Real time strategy games are a favorite around our house. SOCOM series of battle and/or mission simulators are no exception! SOCOM 3 is the third installment in the SOCOM series with all the improvements to date! If military missions is your thing then you've found some great gaming fun with this one! And of course there is upgrades to be won! We collect Playstation games, so of course this was another purchase for that as well! PS2 still rocks at our house and will for years to come!
