About this product

Product Information

In 1994, Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were brutally murdered at her home in Brentwood, California. O.J. Simpson was tried for the crime in a case that captured the attention of the American people, but was ultimately found not guilty of criminal charges. The victims families brought civil cases against Simpson, and he was found liable for willfully and wrongfully causing the deaths of Ron and Nicole by committing battery with malice and oppression. In 2006, HarperCollins announced the publication of a book in which O.J. Simpson told how he hypothetically would have committed the murders. In response to public outrage that Simpson stood to profit from these crimes, HarperCollins canceled the book. A Florida bankruptcy court awarded the rights to the Goldmans in August 2007 to partially satisfy the unpaid civil judgment, which has risen, with interest, to over $38 million. The Goldman family views this book as his confession, and has worked hard to ensure that the public will read this book and learn the truth. This is the original manuscript approved by O.J. Simpson, with up to 14,000 words of key additional commentary.

    Kept my attention.

Read the whole book in one evening-rare for me. The chapter about the actual killing was compelling reading. A cautionary tale of when jurors and others make decisions based on race instead of evidence. The self-told tale of a murdering, psychopathic bastard.

  • If I Did It by the Goldman Family

Any feelings one may have had for O.J. Simpson in the past & prior to reading this book may be drastically changed when finished with this incredulous work. Several issues stand out like beacons as brightly seen as a bad case of gout on a diabetics swollen ankle! I bought the manuscrict to get the view of the Golman/Sachs Families. One must balance the feelings of both sides in this issue. Make no mistake, there may have been no prejudice before this hideous affair, but after both sides make it a trump card. One family in defense of what O.J. clearly does to them, period first! No ifs, ands, or BUTS! So the race issue is clearly no defense, or even an issue for that matter. But O.J. who really has no reason too, decides to make it one, when it is clearly NOT! The most apparent is ...

  • If I did it by Goldman Family (2007)

I rated this average because the book and character are poor but the Goldman's are an excielliet family. The contents is that of a sick madman who committed 2 murders and got off do to our court system. The Goldman's were on a talk show Monday ( I don't want to say which one if there is any legal problems with mentioning a Doctor's name or show title ), but at 53 years old, I remember that courtroom media circus do an injustice by publishing 10 months of Judge Ito's incompetence. If I did it ? Things that were never entered into evidence could have been the difference of this book being written today or a man being booked for double 1st degree murder. I hope Ebay will publish this review as I am trying not to break any policy or rules, but others need to know how we all feel. I believe ...

  • Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong!

These are O.J.'s words. He thought it was his big moment in the sun: his time to shine over something that destroyed his children's lives, not to mention their friends, (and of course the Goldman family.) O.J. does not get the chance to cash in on this one, as he proved himself a real psycho when he orchestrated that break-in trying to get his property back. The Goldman's should get that too, and anything else he owns. Anyone that thinks this is "about race" is a fool, because he got away with the criminal portion of his trial. He DID lose his civil suit, and rightly so, because: HE DID IT! And he is bold enough to try to write a book about, and try to profit from it. Now he has hung himself on his own rope breaking into that hotel room to get "his stuff!" This just shows the gonads this ...

  • Guilty as si

I read the book for free on TMZ. I just had to laugh at his gall. Poor baby Nichol was the abuser, she abused him, beat him, and then she was stalking him!!! Wow she was really strong for a little woman. Come on people really pay attention to what your reading, he contradicts himself over and over again. He gives about 4 different versions as to the cut on his finger. In one place he calls it an alleged cut that he never had, then what about the pictures of the cut? He says Nichol was the abuser, so then why was she always the one with the broken bones and bruises???? He says she was stalking him, but he tells about looking into her window and watching her have sex with another man, and all he was angry about was that his kids were upstairs.ummm and how many women has he lived with. And ...
